2023 North Carolina Showcase

The second annual North Carolina Showcase - Celebrating Excellence in Education, was presented on May 13, 2023 in the UNC Greensboro Auditorium.

The event features dozens of recognitions, awards presentations, and performances. Highlights are shown below.

Award Winners:

• Fine Arts Educator of the Year: Margaret Maurice from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools

• Humanities Educator of the Year: Rachel Frye from East Lincoln High School

• Specialized Instructional Support Educator of the Year: Meredith Draughn from B Everett Jordan Elementary School

• NCASA New Coach of the Year: Samantha Croom from Lenoir County Early College High School

• NCASA Coach of the Year: Mark Buzzee from Jay M Robinson Middle School

Live performances were presented in theatre, dance, a cappella, and show choir by Jay M Robinson MS, Arendell Parrott Academy, Durham School of the Arts, Overhills HS, William A Hough HS, and Voyager Academy.
