NCASA Announces Results of the 2025–2026 Virtual Quiz Bowl League

ree

The North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities (NCASA) is excited to announce the results of this year’s Virtual Quiz Bowl League, one of the largest seasons in the organization’s history. With 48 teams—33 high school and 15 middle school—competing across nine divisions, this year’s league showcased remarkable talent, determination, and academic excellence from students across the state.

“For the first time in NCASA history, we implemented live standings and results throughout the season, and the response from teams and coaches was overwhelmingly positive,” said NCASA Executive Director Scott Plaster. “Some division championships even came down to the very last week. The final matchup in the high school A1 division came down to the PPM tiebreaker. The level of competition this year shows just how much effort went into creating balanced divisions that kept teams motivated and challenged.”

The final standings remain available on the NCASA website, and a new Facebook Share feature now allows schools and families to celebrate their students’ success more easily.

Division winners will each receive an award, and NCASA looks forward to seeing many of these teams continue their momentum into the Spring Quiz Bowl season. Registration for these events is open. The NCASA State Quiz Bowl finals is considered the NC state championship and is open to NCASA member schools.
