Saturday, December 3 marked the fourteenth annual State Finals of The Quill, the state writing competition for middle and high school students in North Carolina. The event was hosted by Atkins High School of Winston-Salem and saw students responding to prompts in Argumentation, Problem/Solution, Narrative (middle school), Creative Writing (high school), Informative/Explanatory (middle school), and Literary Analysis (high school).
