NCASA presented the State Finals of the 2022 Metrographics Printing North Carolina Middle School Show Choir Competition presented at UNC Greensboro College of Visual and Performing Arts on March 18-19 in the UNC Greensboro Auditorium.


Jay M Robinson Middle School and Voyager Academy were crowned state champions!



High schools performed on March 19. Final rankings are shown below.


1 - Voyager Academy - Bull City Lights of Durham with a rating of Superior


2 - Voyager Academy - Vocal Affinity - Superior


3 - William A Hough High School - Excellent


4 - Lake Norman High School - Excellent


5 - West Brunswick High School - Good



Director's Award - Chris Brammer of Hough HS


Best Male Solo - James Randolph of Lake Norman HS


Best Female Solo - Melody Wimberly of Vocal Affinity


Best Male Stage Presence - Trey Purvis of Hough HS


Best Female Stage Presence - Lauren Sierra of Voyager Academy - Bull City Lights


Best Show Design - Voyager Academy - Vocal Affinity


Best Choreography - Voyager Academy - Bull City Lights


Best Group Vocals - Voyager Academy - Bull City Lights


Best Prep Choir - Voyager Academy - Vocal Affinity


Bull City Lights performed songs including "The Kids are Coming" and "We Are Light"
