The third annual HES - ESS North Carolina Showcase - Celebrating Excellence in Education, will be the largest education celebration in the history of North Carolina - the "Academy Awards" of North Carolina education. Tickets are available now for the May 11 event: www.ncshowcase.org
NCASA worked with the NC Department of Public Instruction and many other education associations to develop this event. We will recognize all 2023-2024 major education award winners, including
- Burroughs Wellcome Fund NC Teacher of the Year Heather Smith
- Superintendent of the Year Marvin Connelly
- Wells Fargo NC Principal of the Year Donna Bledsoe
- State Champions of all major scholastic competitions
We will also present many awards including
- NCASA Student of the Year
- Fine Arts Educator of the Year
- Humanities Educator of the Year
- Specialized Instructional Support Educator of the Year
- Joe Childers Scholastic Cup
- Lifetime Achievement Award
And present live performances from the following state champions:
- High School Hip-Hop Dance - Hillside High School
- High School Student Choreographed Dance - Arendell Parrott Academy
- Middle School Jazz Dance - Arendell Parrott Academy
- Middle School Contemporary Dance - Northwest School of the Arts
- Middle School Show Choir - Jay M Robinson Middle School
- High School A Cappella - Overhills High School
The HES - ESS North Carolina Showcase will May 11, 2024 from 7:00 - 9:30 presented in the Mac Gray Auditorium at Statesville High School. Many NC Education Leaders are expected to be present.
