Membership in NCASA

 

The NCASA hosts or sponsors academic competitions that promote intellectual achievement and excellence among the students of North Carolina, including Quiz BowlThe QuillTwelve, and Glee Club. In addition to running a variety of key contests, we also encourage students to participate in other state competitions that contribute to our NCASA Scholastic Cup. If your school is not a member, though, you cannot participate.

To join, Click Here to fill out the registration form. Then print, sign, and mail the Membership Form to complete the process. You can also register an entire LEA with THIS FORM.

Membership in NCASA - Overview

Only NCASA Member Schools may pursue the NCASA Scholastic Cup and NCASA-hosted competitions — including Quiz BowlThe QuillTwelve, and Glee Club. By joining NCASA, your school will open the door to increased opportunities for academic competitiveness that will foster scholastic excellence among your students.

Districts

All member schools are placed in one of three districts: East, Central, and West.  Teams first compete in District Competitions.  The top teams from each District advance to the State Finals.

Eligibility

Membership in NCASA is available to North Carolina schools with students enrolled in grades 9, 10, 11, and/or 12. Membership is open to all types of schools — including public schools, independent schools, and home schools.

Join the NCASA

Membership in NCASA is open to all types of North Carolina schools -- public, charter, independent, and home school. Membership is currently open only to high schools, but we anticipate developing support for additional age groups in the future.
