We are delighted to announce the NCASA Annual Meeting was May 10 at 11:00 AM hosted by Atkins High School of Winston-Salem. 

 

During the Annual Meeting we recognized the following award winners: 

  • NCASA Volunteer of the Year: Jeff Gordon, Gay Wilson, and Catherine Addison
  • NCASA High School Principal of the Year: Ryan McNeil of Triton High School
  • NCASA Middle School Principal of the Year: Bradyn Robinson of Horton Middle School
  • NCASA Middle School Scholastic Director of the Year: Tracy Miller of Horton Middle School
  • NCASA High School Scholastic Director of the Year: Roy Harris of Triton High School
  • NCASA High School Coach of the Year: Melanie Langley of Atkins High School
  • NCASA Middle School Coach of the Year: Amber Shiver of Valley Springs Middle School

We also recognized two students for their outstanding performance and contributions in support of scholastic activities. 

  • NCASA High School Student of the Year: Ruth King of Triton High School
  • NCASA Middle School Student of the Year: Abby Epperson of Mount Airy Middle School

The President's Message and the State of the Association were also presented.
 
Finally, we had exhibition performances from the Arendell Parrott Academy middle school ensemble who earned a perfect score in the North Carolina Scholastic Dance Festival presented by UNC-Greensboro, and the Atkins High School A Cappella group who earned the highest rating presented in the North Carolina High School A Cappella Festival presented by UNC-Greensboro.
