Saturday, December 4 marked the 2021 State Finals of The Quill, the state writing competition for middle and high school students in North Carolina.  The event was hosted by Contentnea-Savannah K-8 School and saw students responding to prompts in Argumentation, Problem/Solution, Narrative (middle school), Creative Writing (high school), Informative/Explanatory (middle school), and Literary Analysis (high school).  

 In addition to the 90-minute on-demand writing session, students heard LCPS Public Information Officer Patrick Holmes speak about his experiences as a writer.
