Hillside High School Hip-Hop Ensemble
The State Finals of the NC Dance Ensemble Competition were held December 3 at Hillside High School of Durham. 21 schools competed in 6 events. Final results are shown below.
On December 5, 30 middle and high school ensembles competed in the first ever State Final of the NCASA NC Dance Ensemble Competition presented by Fox 50. After a full day of exciting competition in two categories, Jazz/Hip-Hop and Contemporary/Lyrical, we are thrilled to announce our State Champions!
Congratulations to Harris Road Middle School, who, with a rating of Excellent, were named our State Champ in Middle School Jazz/Hip-Hop! In second place, also with a rating of Excellent was Brawley Middle School, and Overhills Middle School took third with a rating of Excellent. The rankings of the remaining schools are:
4 – Wayne School of Engineering (Excellent)
5 – Highland Middle School (Excellent)
6 – Mount Airy Middle School (Good)
7 – Central Middle School of Gates County (Good)

With all three Regional Competitions complete, we are thrilled to announce our Regional Champions and all schools advancing to the State Final of the NCASA NC Dance Ensemble Competition presented by Fox 50 on December 5 at Wakefield High School.
