The results are in!
NCASA held the Twelve State Finals Saturday, December 15 in the auditorium of Simon G. Atkins Academic and Technology High School in Winston-Salem. Finishing in first place in the high school division with a score of 67 was Myers Park High School of Charlotte. Finishing close behind in second place was rival Ardrey Kell High School with a final score of 65. Finishing in third place with a final score of 60 was Simon G Atkins Academic and Technology High School of Winston-Salem.
Myers Park excelled by leading all schools in the Life Sciences, Literature, US History, and World History rounds.Rounding out the top six finishers were fourth place Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, and Hickory High School and Jordan-Matthews High School who finished tied for fifth. Also competing were Hobbton HS, Lexington HS, Page HS, Piedmont Community Charter School, Gates County HS, and Lee Early College HS. A State Champion trophy was presented to Myers Park High School. Medallions were awarded to each student from the first, second, and third place schools. Pictures of all placing schools are available upon request.
