NCASA presented the 4th Annual Art Showcase on December 5th.  Artworks from over 150 students were exhibited, and with an impressive showing, we are happy to announce the individual winners in eight media, overall team winners, as well as best in show for both middle schools and high schools.

In the middle school division, congratulations to Bradley Ortiz of Northview Middle School for taking first in Sculpture and winning Best in Show!  Anthea Adcock of Jay M Robinson Middle School was awarded first place in Painting, Jon DeWitt of Northview was awarded first place in Drawing, and in Printmaking Samhitha Muppana from Jay M Robinson took first.  Caylan Hagood from Northview won first place in the Collage category, Starlia Overby of J Sam Gentry Middle School took first in Mixed Media, Morgan Casey of Jay M Robinson won in Photography, and Ava Christian of Jay M Robinson won in Computer Generated. 

Congratulations also go to Jay M Robinson Middle School, our Middle School State Champion.  Northview took second place and J Sam Gentry of Mount Airy took third.  The rest of the top ten schools are listed below:

In the high school division,congratulations go Lauren Castillo of Northwest Guildford High School, who was awarded both first place in Painting and Best in Show!  Colton Valentino of Wakefield High School was awarded first place in Drawing, Cameron Harson, also from Wakefield, won first place in Printmaking, and Sharon Slakter of Northwest Guilford took first in Collage.  In the Mixed Media category, Ava Evans from Myers Park High School was awarded with first place, Hunter Koch was awarded first in the Photography category, Jordan Pollard of Northwood High School took first in Computer Generated, and Brynn Carrick of Wakefield won first in the Sculpture category.

Congratulations also to Northwest Guilford, our overall State Champion!  Atkins A&T won second, and Wakefield won third.  The remaining top ten schools are:
